Critical of Scientology

Many excellent books about the Church of Scientology can be read for free online at these locations:

If you're new to the cause, I'd recommend starting with these three books in particular:

Bare Faced Messiah - A biography of L. Ron Hubbard, founder of the Church of Scientology. You can also read the book at this location, and they have some relevant FBI documents there too.

A Piece of Blue Sky - A broad overview of the many crimes and abuses committed by the Church of Scientology. This is probably the best book to start with.

The Scandal of Scientology - The famous book by Paulette Cooper, which caused the Church to come after her viciously in their so-called Operation: Freakout. This book is another good source of information about the Church's crimes.

If you want to order physical copies of these books, Amazon is probably the way to go.

Official Scientology Books

The Church of Scientology's own books are an excellent resource and provide a wealth of information that can be used against them. However, it is important not to buy directly from the Church, as this will put money in their pockets. Again, buy a used copy from Amazon.
